Medication Take Back

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, is able to provide a Medication Take Back program for the residents of Seneca County.  This program gives our residents a way of safely disposing of their outdated or unused medications.

We have absolutely no interest in what types of medications are being taken.  Please blacken out or remove your personal information from the label. Then bring it to the Sheriff’s Office in the original container and deposit it in the collection container located in our lobby.  This drop off service is available anytime you wish to bring it in, Monday thru Sunday  twenty-four hours a day.

At this time we have been given permission to “accept” the following:

  • Pharmaceutical drugs   (pills only)

“We will not be able to take:”

  • Liquids
  • Medical syringes/needles
  • Illicit drugs

“This collection container gives our community a safe way of disposing of their unneeded prescription medications.  By removing these pills from our homes, we take another step closer to eliminating the possibility of them being abused by teens or other adults.  Together we can make Seneca County a safer place to live, work and raise a family.”
