UAV Unit

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has a Multi-Jurisdictional Drone Team that utilizes two drones. Project Lifesaver donated the drones for the specific needs of that program but allows us to use them in emergency situations throughout the county.

The Drone Team consists of six individuals, two from the Sheriff’s Office, two from Fostoria P.D. and two from Tiffin P.D. This size team gives us the ability to always have at least one person available to be able to respond throughout the year due to illness, vacations, fmla, etc. In the past when only one or two individuals were certified, it could not always be maintained or manned when needed.
